Lake Baringo, a freshwater lake in the central Kenya Rift Valley, is fed by perennial and ephemeral rivers, direct rainfall, and hot springs on Ol Kokwa Island near the centre of the lake.
Geosites
The geosite is situated within the Sinibo Conservancy, featuring deep gullies, some exceeding 10 meters in depth.
The site is characterized by a rockfall (a type of landslide) that resulted from the toppling of phonolitic rocks on the downstream side of a waterfall along the local river.
