Features a slightly tilted volcanosedimentary stratigraphic sequence with excellent tectonic and sedimentological features
The Releng thermal spring is in a picturesque valley within an undulating landscape characterized by a deeply incised river valley; a thermal spring at temperatures of about 40℃.
This geosite features 10 km long trachytic columnar jointing escarpment rising up to 60 meters above the adjacent plains characterized by a distinctive zigzag pattern
The site is located on a river cutting where the tufa layer, approximately 5 meters thick, is exposed.
This geosite is not defined by a fixed physical locality but is instead an interpretive observation point from which the Baringo–Bogoria halfgraben, as viewed from the Tugen Hills, can be systematically examined.
